When you use socks, use only socks made from 100% cotton, wool, or silk. These are the best types, they absorb the moisture and thus if there is no moisture the fungus can’t develop. Also those materials provide good ventilation that is important for the feet.

Basic Rules in Order to Avoid Nail Fungus
Here are some simple, basic rules for you to follow in order to stay clear of that nasty toe nail fungus.
- Wear mostly cotton socks. They absorb moisture from the sweating of the feet.
- Trim your nails. Try to trim your nails short and in a straight line. Also smooth their edges with a nail file.
- Keep your feet dry. Keeping your feet dry will prevent moisture and thus they will prevent the forming of the hated fungus.
- Wash your feet. Let’s say you’ve been swimming into a public swimming pool, or you took a shower at your gym. Whenever you step in a puddle of water you could pick up the fungal infection.
